The New Moon Mycology summit is a mostly volunteer-run convergence of a handful of devoted people working to share knowledge and skills related to the use of fungi for environmental, societal and personal betterment. In order to make this event successful we need our community's help!
If you are interested in volunteering with us to any degree, we would be most thankful & grateful for your offering of time. Prior skills & knowledge is NOT required, though there are also skill-specific tasks that we need help with too.
If you cannot afford the requested donation, volunteering would be an appreciated exchange of time and skills.
If you can afford to donate both financially and with volunteer time, we will be singing your praises!
Here is a running list of the various roles we are hoping to get filled :
Set-up before the Summit
Waste Fairies - garbage and compost removal & management
Kitchen (Prep to organize meals and helpers to serve meals, dishes, clean-up)
Childcare providers (host activities for kids)
Techy & Media-minded people to document the week or classes (Film, Audio Recording, Photography).
Medics / Healthcare practitioners
Shuttling from train station
Clean-up after the Summit
Here is what we NEED to get done BEFORE the Summit starts :
minor construction & plumbing
setting up composting areas
constructing compost toilets & washing station set-up
trail making & marking
set up & clearing of land for workshop sites, camping & kitchen
Our ever-growing & changing WISHLIST, help us minimize costs of this event so we can support the educators travelling to share their skills, to support the kitchen staff, the venue and cover costs. This is a GROUP EFFORT!
